A Little Something Extra

Now, I have to put a disclaimer here. Yes, you read the title of this post correctly, I love these palettes so much but I baby them and don't use them. Some of the palettes that I own are either limited edition or expensive so I don't use these day to day, and I'll only use them on a special occasion. I baby these so much, that I keep most of my palettes in their original boxes. The first palette that I consider to be one of my favourite children is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I bought this palette when it first initially launched from all the way from Sephora US. After using this a little I fell in love and felt like I never had a bad eye look day, and when the reviews came flooding in I was so happy that I have it. However, I knew I would continue to use it every day and eventually hit pan, and the fear of hitting pan go to me, and I decided to retire the palette for the time being. Following my recent blog post of my top 5 red lipsticks, I have decided to also share my top 5 nudes. I wear these on most days rather than a red lip, so you might already have these in your collections. My most favourite nude that I own is the Nudestix Lip and Cheek Pencil in the shade Whisper. When I do not want to wear a bronzed look I go for this shade. It's a perfect nude for when I am wearing a neutral or cool toned look. When I go out I often wear this shade as, although it isn't a long-wearing formula, It's a lipstick and liner in one so I can just throw it in my bag. I also love it as a blush. The fanciest nude shade that I own is the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in the shade Kim KW. This rather large haul was acquired over a couple of months and I didn't buy it all in one go (I only wish I was that crazy). I'll start with the black box that's quite blurry in the left bottom corner, sorry about that. That is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation in the colour N2. I have seen Desi Perkins on YouTube rave about this foundation as being hydrating yet full coverage and I wanted to go back to liquid foundations for a while now so I want to give it a go. I have tried it a handful of times and so far I like it, although it's not the longest wearing. Debenhams in the Uk is getting better when it comes to makeup these days. They have a better range of Too Faced, Kat Von D but they also not have Buxom which I am very happy about. This is my second post like this now, whether it's on this blog or my other one, but I feel like with all the new launches happening I think I really need to make another. So many beauty bloggers and YouTubers now are promoting products left and right and I feel as while they're being honest and saying that perhaps they don't necessarily like the product they still find the justification to make their viewers buy it, which in turn keeps the company happy and keep sending them products. So are they being reliable? You decide. I check Trendmood1 Instagram page on the daily to see what's new as they post constantly what beauty companies leak on their Snapchat and their Instagram and even repost people's swatches of products. Personally, I prefer this rather than following a lot of different accounts. I don't follow Trendmood1 as they post way too often, however, I usually just check throughout the day. If you saw my last post you'll know that I picked this palette up when it launched on the 14th of this month. It has taken a couple of months but it's finally available at Debenhams stores here in the Uk. Where I live, in North Wales, we do not have a Kat Von D or a TooFaced counter so swatching this before I bought it was impossible. I watched some youtube videos and I thought that I had to have it since nothing like this has happened before. this being when two similar makeup brands come together to create a product. First on the packaging. I personally thought it would be bigger than it is. The quantity of product you get is very nice and if you saw my last post I mentioned that the palette on its own is worth £22 making each shadow in the palette around £1.80. During January there were a lot of beauty launches, and I feel as though when things get announced the Us markets will be able to sell it within a month if not 3 weeks. For myself I would have to make a Sephora order and pay up to £30 in shipping and taxes to get my hands on newly released gems, and I have done so a few times, however this year I am inclined to wait, if I know a 100% that they will be bringing them to the Uk. So this is a collective haul that I have bought from various websites, that include, Asos, Beautybay and Debenhams. A Limited Edition Palette? Of course I am all over it! The sweet scented palettes by Too Faced have always intrigued me. The first chocolate palette I have almost bought a numerous amount of times however never taken the plunge to actually buy... yet. When I saw this palette all over youtube I though pff what a gimmick. I thought that something that was sent to so many people to promote wasn't really worth it, that it was all a false, but I was wrong.....  Not only do I love this palette buy I actually wrote a review for it on the Debenhams website, which I never write reviews! I mean, who has time for that, but I made the time. Personally I don't think the palette smells like peach, it does however have a strong sweet fruity smell, but not singularly peach. After my shameless haul of American Products I am on a no buying month, however doesn't mean I don't have my eye on a few thing I want to try. Cover Fx Custom Cover Drops. I purchased the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation at the end of August last year (wow that sounds so weird), and I have just been using it overtime I wear my make up. Its so good! I used to be obsessed with Estee Lauder Double Wear however I found it to be clogging up my pores when I wore it every single day and this is a lighter consistency, but the coverage is comparable. Moving on, I have just been wearing it and been in denial that I should probably purchase another shade, but I feel even the lighter shade would even be a little too beige for me. I have heard great things about the Cover Fx Drops so I thought that if I purchased the lightest shade and perhaps a shade that would be my summer colour, it wouldn't matter what foundation I would buy I could always make my own perfect shade. BeautyBay Wishlist. First on my list is something that I have had my eye on for a while and it's the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Ash Brown . I have been really loving mixing my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow wiz and the Laura Mercier Brow Sculpt pot together so I thought that this could be the same but within one product. It is described as a "   smudge free, creamy formula which glides effortlessly onto the skin and adheres to the brow hairs for optimal definition." So the question is to get or not to get?  Make Up Store Cake Eyeliner in Black  is in the definitely getting category for me. It goes on so smooth and dries into a soft matte. To go with this I plan on getting the  Zoeva 315 Fine Liner Brush  as with the angled design of the brush I hope to create a precise liner application, and hopefully have both sides equal.. well we shall have to see about that one I think.
