Accidental Beauty Haul. (Cult Beauty + Nordstrom)

It feels like I have been nothing but buying make up recently and I have decided that after this I am going to take a step back I get my hands on the Urban Decay Moondust Pallete! Anyway this is just a blog post about the few things I have picked up over month ago. First I want to get the morning one out of the way (something that isn't make up I consider boring sorry!) and those are the Skyn Blemish dots. I have been wanting to try something like these because during that fabulous time of the month spots pop up over night it seems. What these are are stickers essentially and they are coated with salicystic acid which help to reduce redness and the swelling of the spot. I use these after I cleanse my face at night, and let them work until I wake up. They do work in the terms of reducing the redness and maybe the slight appearance and texture of the swelling but it doesn't help get rid of the spot.  Now onto the three Jouer Cosmetics items that I got. I got the fr...

The Balm Nude Tude Palette

Image
I have been wanting the palette for years. Not lusting for it per say but I have been umming and ahhing whether to get it or not, and I have bitten that bullet. I saw YT'er Estée Lalonde talk about this palette a few years ago, and she used it many times in a lot of videos so I thought it must be a good one to have several features. The packaging looks like this, and its really different to any other palette that I've seen around. It caught my eye because to the illustrations and the effort that was made into a simple palette. As a brand I know that The Balm use cheeky sexual puns in order to maybe catch peoples eye and as you can see the illustrations in this palette is no different. I don't really like the ouster packaging as it's quite old fashioned and doesn't really have a wow factor, and in all honesty its a little boring, but the inside of the palette makes up for it. The shadows in this palette are very pigmented and easy to blend, however the on...

As you might have seen in my recent haul, well in one of my most recent hauls anyway, you would have seen that I got the Illamasqua primer. It is one of the best on the market as they say. Who says that I have no clue, however they were right! I have never been a huge primer person however I do struggle in keeping my make up on through the day. If I do want longer lasting make up I go for the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation whit usually lasts all day, but sometimes I want a lighter coverage, and an even lighter feeling. The texture of this primer is like none other out there, and for this reason alone it can be understood why its a cult product. When opening the packaging you get a little spoon that you mix the primer with. It forms a jelly texture that you take a small scoop of and then apply. My technique of using this product would be to apply it onto my finger, mush it up between my fingertips and apply all over the face. Some might say just to apply it in the problem ares h...

MAC Heroine Lip Liner.

Image
Another unintended post, however I had to post about this lip liner! Ever since 2014 when it was on trend to have purple lips, I have been on the hunt for the perfect purple lip colour. Purple can make teeth look yellow, so Ive always stuck to the more plumb and mauve toned purples. Recently I was a photo on Pinterest of this lip colour and I wanted it so bad!! I don't quite know why I got the lip liner instead of the actual lipstick however I'm glad I did now as it lasts for such a long time on the lips, plus I can use it as a base for other lipsticks. I love it. Photo from my instagram @ceri_eri_eri Photo from my Snapchat - Ceri Toleman All of these photos were taking on my phone so I apologize for the quality. If you want to see more lipstick posts and that, like my blog, and also let me know what your current favorite lippy is. Many Thanks x
