I have never tried Make Up Forever products and I found myself really keen on trying out this palette. I first saw this palette on the Trendmood Instagram page, and when you first look at it, it does look a lot like the Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette. Whilst looking through the comments I wasn't the only one who thought this, and I was very interested in purchasing as I was intrigued to see how they compare. I bought mine off the Debenhams website whilst it became on sale for a limited 24hrs, and even better was that the site had 15% off Beauty so I got the palette for £34 instead of the £40. I bought this completely based on my own opinion because there weren't any youtube reviews on it, and no blog posts either so I had no idea about the quality. When I got the palette I didn't really have any thoughts on the packaging. I thought the holographic aspect was really nice, but that was it. I have never previously owned any Huda Beauty makeup, but when I saw these were only £25 I knew that it wasn't a bad deal. The first palette that I bough was the Mauve Obsessions. i knew for building my kit I would need more natural shades, and brides tend to wear mauves on their wedding day. After receiving the palette I have to say I was shocked to see how small the palettes are. The amount of product you get is great for the price however it is a shock when you're a palette collector like me to see them fit in the palm of your hand. The palettes also come with a mirror so these will be great for on the go, and travelling. I know that I can just keep these in my kit and they won't take up much room. When I saw this palette my jaw dropped. I loved the idea of having a larger pan for transitions. I was gutted to find out, however, that it was a morphe website exclusive. I would have thought it would become available on the BeuatyBay website but they have only decided to stock the rest of the Chrismas items and not this. I then went on the Morphe website just to see how it would be for shipping, and it was almost the same amount as the actual palette so, I decided not to get it. I later found out they had a dedicated website for the Uk, where it was free shipping over a certain amount, and that's how I finally got it. If you saw my last blog post you'll know that I bought the Shade and Light Glimmer Palette by Kat Von D. The main reason why I wanted this so bad was because it claims to have 4 different finishes in one palette, and it also goes along with the first matte palette.  Can we talk about the packaging? The outside carton is so nice the way it shines in the light. The font is exactly the same as it is on the original shade and light, the differences are that the glimmer palette has the glitter accents, and the original has the gold and black lacquered embossed letters. The Glimmer palette has plastic packaging compared to the Shade and Light Matte Palette which has the cardboard packaging. You can never go wrong with a red lip in my opinion. If I have to face the outside world and have no idea what to do with my face, I will skip the perfect eyeshadow look to a simple wing and a classic red lip. I own a lot of lip products and I have a fair few red shades from different brands with different formulas. These will be my personal top recommendations for anyone who is looking for a statement red lip. Mac Ruby Woo For anyone who knows anything about the beauty industry, Macs Ruby Woo Retro Matte bullet lipstick is a cult classic. It's a blue based red making it a really versatile shade that suits everyone. I have seen this shade on multiple skin tones with multiple looks, and its safe to say if you haven't found your red shade yet, give this a go. If you saw my last post you'll know that I picked this palette up when it launched on the 14th of this month. It has taken a couple of months but it's finally available at Debenhams stores here in the Uk. Where I live, in North Wales, we do not have a Kat Von D or a TooFaced counter so swatching this before I bought it was impossible. I watched some youtube videos and I thought that I had to have it since nothing like this has happened before. this being when two similar makeup brands come together to create a product. First on the packaging. I personally thought it would be bigger than it is. The quantity of product you get is very nice and if you saw my last post I mentioned that the palette on its own is worth £22 making each shadow in the palette around £1.80. I am not a "professional" lip swatcher by any means, however, I thought I would show which of the Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks that I own. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a liquid lipstick that doesnt budge and really clings on, these are your best bet. At the moment she has a shade range that stretches to 26 colours however this new year she will be adding an additional 25 to her line. Some of which will be realeased soon and some in the spring, however, you can check out the new shades on her Instagram. I own 11 of the shades from her current line at the moment. Through the past couple of years I have been ordering them from Sephora in the US. Thank the heavens you can now get them in the Uk though Debenhams, however you will be waiting longer if you are looking for the newer items, so I might still consider ordering from the US if you want newer arrivals sooner.
