Multi-Masking.. Does it work?

Image
(Warning this blog post includes bare, un-slayed faces.)  Hello,   my name is Ceri and   I am   a mask addict. I have a mask on every night, and I wish I was joking. Most of the time its a moisturising mask as my face is as dry as the   dessert   but with all of   that   I throw in a detoxing mask 2-3 times a week. I have tried   a lot   of mask brands but what comes on top for me is the GlamGlow masks. I have bought their   original   detoxing mask that really does suck every dirty thing out, but my favourite one is the moisturising one that smells like a tropical paradise. I have run out of these at the moment and it has given me a chance to try other masks from other brands.  However I saw a post on Instagram that Boots have the multi-masking Kit from GlamGlow with deluxe sized samples, and seeing as I've only tried two of their masks, I thought this would be a good opportunity to try out th...

Collective Beauty Haul

Image
During January there were a lot of beauty launches, and I feel as though when things get announced the Us markets will be able to sell it within a month if not 3 weeks. For myself I would have to make a Sephora order and pay up to £30 in shipping and taxes to get my hands on newly released gems, and I have done so a few times, however this year I am inclined to wait, if I know a 100% that they will be bringing them to the Uk. So this is a collective haul that I have bought from various websites, that include, Asos, Beautybay and Debenhams. The first product that I the most excited to start using is the TooFaced x Kat Von D Better Together Palette. This was only launched in the Uk on the 14th of February when it was released in the US before the holiday season. My main motivation for purchasing this is because I haven't seen two companies come together in friendship like this to make a range of products. I love my Kat Von D palette, and I also love my TooFaced Palette s...

January Favourites

Image
It has been a while since I last blogged, but I have been feeling a little uninspired. I want to make my blog more... me, and I still haven't found my own style as of yet, but I will get there. I thought I would get back into the swing of things and start dedicating to actually posting a favourite product post each month. I don't really have a lot of makeup products as I've just been using the same things quite often. I do however have a couple, and I will be re-purchasing these when they run out. The first are two products from Urban Decay. The first is the green colour correcting fluid, and I use this on my cheeks and nose. In the morning my face becomes quite red after rubbing in skincare and nothing covers it up completely, however using this does even it out a little and it really helps. Next is a cult classic, the Urban Decay Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. It claims to be crease-proof, it still does on my but when set it doesn't budge. I use the...

D E - P O T T I N G

Something that isn't a necessity, but something that I really needed doing. De - potting palettes. I own a lot of eyeshadow and face palettes and some of them really need a good clear out. I bet all of us make up junkies have a very ugly looking palette that we don't even look at anymore because it's so beat up. I have wanted to invest in a Z-Palette for a long while, however never really felt like I needed it (plus I was a little scared of messing things up). I have a few pans of the Make Up Geek shadows that are still in their packaging that I don't really reach for anymore because they are too flimsy for me to bother with since I have shadows that are stuck in an actual palette. I bought the Z-Palette in the black colour and in the large size. I actually have enough to fill it. I also got the de-potting spatula which will help me take pans out of old palettes. Knowing myself I'd probably use a knife and end up damaging the makeup, or worse, myself. I...

Accidental Beauty Haul. (Cult Beauty + Nordstrom)

It feels like I have been nothing but buying make up recently and I have decided that after this I am going to take a step back I get my hands on the Urban Decay Moondust Pallete! Anyway this is just a blog post about the few things I have picked up over month ago. First I want to get the morning one out of the way (something that isn't make up I consider boring sorry!) and those are the Skyn Blemish dots. I have been wanting to try something like these because during that fabulous time of the month spots pop up over night it seems. What these are are stickers essentially and they are coated with salicystic acid which help to reduce redness and the swelling of the spot. I use these after I cleanse my face at night, and let them work until I wake up. They do work in the terms of reducing the redness and maybe the slight appearance and texture of the swelling but it doesn't help get rid of the spot.  Now onto the three Jouer Cosmetics items that I got. I got the fr...

The Jaclyn Hill X Becca Collaboration Face Palette

Image
As you may have seen in my last blog post I got my hands on the coveted Jaclyn Hill x Becca Collaboration Face Palette. I do believe that you can no longer get this online on Sephora or on SpaceNk in the Uk. I saw a post on instagram the other day which I was just scrolling through that a girl got one in a store about a week and a half ago now, so if you want one of these go into the stores. I bought mine as soon as it became back in stock, actually put on alarms, as when this came back I was in work. I had 45 minutes break and that break ended 15 minutes before this palette become back in stock. Before I went all crazy and making excuses that I had trouble in the toilets or pull a sick I just checked the website if they got stocked a little early. I actually felt lucky for once as of course this was in stock and I nabbed it. The palette is amazing and feels super luxury (well its from Becca duh). Its not made out of super expensive materials or anything but it is ...
