A Little Something Extra

I know this post is coming a little late, however, although I do have things in my collection I still need to review, I wanted to take a break from the review and haul posts for a while. I hope that my favourites will have a little more variety than other peoples posts, but we shall see. I will try and go in order of how I would apply my face. Primer: This is something new that came to me at the end of the year but I can already tell its a firm favourite. I was always using the Becca Backlight Priming Filter which I still love however it wasn't doing anything to smooth texture and minimise pores, so I decided to try out a Jeffree Star recommendation, the Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer . This really smooths out my skin and creates a perfect canvas for my foundation. This is, however, a little mattifying, so it makes dewy foundations look more like a velvet finish. So as I am writing this post, I officially have 9 days until I am going to Paris! To some people it might not sound like a big deal, however, I have been wanting to go to Paris forever since I love art so much, plus the fact I haven't really been anywhere outside the country in 3 years. I am so excited I cannot even explain. Most people when they go on holiday wonder about which kind of clothes and shoes they will take, but I have been wondering ever since the trip has been booked is what makeup I should take. I am very much hoping that it will be much sunnier in Paris compared to Wales when we go, so I bought a foundation from a brand that I've always wanted to try. I got the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Full Coverage CC Cream in the shade Fair. I am subscribed to Lilly Pebbles on Youtube and her friend Anna from the channel The Anna Edit, and they talked about this foundation a lot. It also contains spf50 so it's going to be great if the sun decides to come out....

 It has been a while since I last blogged, but I have been feeling a little uninspired. I want to make my blog more... me, and I still haven't found my own style as of yet, but I will get there. I thought I would get back into the swing of things and start dedicating to actually posting a favourite product post each month. I don't really have a lot of makeup products as I've just been using the same things quite often. I do however have a couple, and I will be re-purchasing these when they run out. The first are two products from Urban Decay. The first is the green colour correcting fluid, and I use this on my cheeks and nose. In the morning my face becomes quite red after rubbing in skincare and nothing covers it up completely, however using this does even it out a little and it really helps. It feels like I have been nothing but buying make up recently and I have decided that after this I am going to take a step back I get my hands on the Urban Decay Moondust Pallete! Anyway this is just a blog post about the few things I have picked up over month ago. First I want to get the morning one out of the way (something that isn't make up I consider boring sorry!) and those are the Skyn Blemish dots. I have been wanting to try something like these because during that fabulous time of the month spots pop up over night it seems. What these are are stickers essentially and they are coated with salicystic acid which help to reduce redness and the swelling of the spot. I use these after I cleanse my face at night, and let them work until I wake up. They do work in the terms of reducing the redness and maybe the slight appearance and texture of the swelling but it doesn't help get rid of the spot.  Now onto the three Jouer Cosmetics items that I got. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit is the first ever product that I've bought from this brand. I have been contemplating getting the blushes from Hourglass for a while as they are so beautiful and they give more of a glow rather than colour pigment, and for a person who doesn't really wear a lot of blush this was perfect for me. This is small. When you watch all the videos on youtube it looks a little bigger than it does in real life and I think thats a downside for a lot of people who bout this. For me I didn't mind as much as all I want to do is try a couple of things from the brand, and here you get to try three shades of the ambient lighting powders, two ambient lighting blushes and one ambient lighting bronzer. I am considering getting the more yellow shade in Diffused Light as I can see that would be a colour that I would use more in the palette.
