January Favourites

Image
It has been a while since I last blogged, but I have been feeling a little uninspired. I want to make my blog more... me, and I still haven't found my own style as of yet, but I will get there. I thought I would get back into the swing of things and start dedicating to actually posting a favourite product post each month. I don't really have a lot of makeup products as I've just been using the same things quite often. I do however have a couple, and I will be re-purchasing these when they run out. The first are two products from Urban Decay. The first is the green colour correcting fluid, and I use this on my cheeks and nose. In the morning my face becomes quite red after rubbing in skincare and nothing covers it up completely, however using this does even it out a little and it really helps. Next is a cult classic, the Urban Decay Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. It claims to be crease-proof, it still does on my but when set it doesn't budge. I use the...

M A K E U P H A U L

Image
This month I feel as though I haven't bought that much makeup, but I actually have. Oh gosh, darn it. I always blame Youtube for this happening as if I never watched Youtube I would never know what new products are out, and never feel the need to buy things the moment they come out. it's turned me into a makeup addict, and I cannot lie, I love it. This month has been all about Urban Decay. They have come out with a bunch of new products over the past two months and it got my makeup senses tingling. I had to just re-purchase the Naked Concealer because I used my old one all up. Before I knew it it was done with and I didn't even know how to do my face without it, and that's when I knew, that I couldn't be without this product. I use this in the shade Fair Neutral which is too light for me however I use it to highlight the under-eye and my t-zone as there is where I naturally highlight and most of the time get blemishes and this is the best pigment, and lasti...

Beauty Haul Pt 2

Image
So, here comes part two of my huge beauty haul. Starting off with my order from Selfridges. This was the first order that I had made with the company and I have to say it came super quick and neatly packaged, I would really recommend shopping with them for high end make up. The first thing I popped into my basket was something that I saw all over social media, especially Instagram. This is the Jorgobé Peel Off Mask. I have large pores so I get blackheads easily and masks don't usually draw out all the dirt thats stuck in them so I opted to try this mask. I have used it a couple of times and I am in love, its a black mask with tea extracts that pulls out all the dirt. When the mask is dry you can feel all the bumps of dirt under the mask which is pretty cool. I use this in conjunction with other mask during the week and I have noticed a reduction in black heads especially around my nose area. The other items I got were the Clarins Lip Perfector which I apply under liqu...

Products I Really Want To Try.

After my shameless haul of American Products I am on a no buying month, however doesn't mean I don't have my eye on a few thing I want to try. Cover Fx Custom Cover Drops. I purchased the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation at the end of August last year (wow that sounds so weird), and I have just been using it overtime I wear my make up. Its so good! I used to be obsessed with Estee Lauder Double Wear however I found it to be clogging up my pores when I wore it every single day and this is a lighter consistency, but the coverage is comparable. Moving on, I have just been wearing it and been in denial that I should probably purchase another shade, but I feel even the lighter shade would even be a little too beige for me. I have heard great things about the Cover Fx Drops so I thought that if I purchased the lightest shade and perhaps a shade that would be my summer colour, it wouldn't matter what foundation I would buy I could always make my own perfect shade. If I am s...

My Autumn Faves

Image
As I have neglected to include favorites posts for a couple of months I thought I would create a post about my autumn faves. I have recently discovered that I have been in a make up rut. Ive basically been going for the same kind of look. Full coverage, bronze lids and a 90's tone lips. When Mac came out with their Vamplify Collection I knew that I wanted to make a cheeky purchase, however by the time I actually had the chance to go to my nearest Mac counter the original shade that I wanted was sold out, and even sold out online. However I had come all the way there and I wanted to get some other shade. The girl at the counter gave me this mauve raspberry brown shade gloss called Tuned In. I really like this if I don't really know what to wear that day and its a really quick and easy gloss to throw on and have it last for hours. Another lip product that I tip my hat to are the Rouge Edition Velvets from Bourjois Paris. These ar great drugstore liquid lipsticks. They h...

Cheeky High-End Splurge

Image
It isn't often that I buy a lot of high end make up in one go however I made a cult beauty order and just so happened to visit a Mac Counter the day after, so it just so happens I went all out. No regrets and that. I'll start off with the items that I got in Mac. I was only going to go there for a red lip pencil (I was only going to get are always those famous last words aren't they?) but I got a couple of extra pretty things. I got the all so raved about Mac Pro Longer Concealer in NW15. This concealer is super light which makes it perfect for under the eyes to brighten and to hide those dark circles. I have found that a whole pump is a little too much for me, even for a whole face, and I do find that I need to set it with a translucent powder as it stays tacky for a while after the initial application. Next thing I got was Macs Soft and Gentle. This was a recommendation from my friend Zoe who said that it was a perfect golden highlighter with a high impact, and...
