My Top 5 Red Lipsticks.

Image
You can never go wrong with a red lip in my opinion. If I have to face the outside world and have no idea what to do with my face, I will skip the perfect eyeshadow look to a simple wing and a classic red lip. I own a lot of lip products and I have a fair few red shades from different brands with different formulas. These will be my personal top recommendations for anyone who is looking for a statement red lip. Mac Ruby Woo For anyone who knows anything about the beauty industry, Macs Ruby Woo Retro Matte bullet lipstick is a cult classic. It's a blue based red making it a really versatile shade that suits everyone. I have seen this shade on multiple skin tones with multiple looks, and its safe to say if you haven't found your red shade yet, give this a go. The only downside I would have to say with this particular lipstick is that it's quite drying. I am a massive lover of liquid lipsticks so I can tough out the dryness, however, if this is an issue for you I w...

Jouer Lip Toppers

Image
If you have already read my blog post on my favourite liquid lipstick formulas, you know I love the Jouer Lip Cremes which are their liquid lipstick formula. They go on an airy creamy consistency but dry down to a non-drying matte. Then they released what they now call a lip topper, which has a gloss consistency with very high impact shimmer running through. They don't feel chunky on the lips whatsoever, and after your lips has absorbed the coconut oil that they contain the glitter/shimmer particle stay on your lips giving you a really nice sheen. Some people might find these intimidating, however, when you wear them right they look stunning. I love seeing people who rock the really bold glittery lips as I find them so stunning. I personally can't wait until they release a full blown ruby red lip topper so I can wear it on a night out. However, I do not wear these on my entire lips, even though they are probably considered as nude shade toppers. What I personall...

Kat Von D - Thin formula and dries quickly, clings on to the lips. One of the best formulas that are on the market in my opinion. Kat Von D has been out in the USA on Sephora for a few years now and to start off with I remember they were selling out like hot cakes. I don't really remember any other brand that sold liquid lipsticks getting as much hype as Kat Von D at that time and for good reason. The cult favourite shade from her line is called Lolita. The formula has been changed twice now for it to be made vegan. I own the latest of the formulation so I cannot compare it to the other two versions, however, it's still one of the top selling shades in her line. I have shades from the lightest to the darkest in the line, and I have to say the formula stays pretty much consistent. The darker shades need a little extra work however once you get it on it lasts for hours. These are the longest wearing liquid lipsticks I own so that's a plus, however, what comes with time...

A N T I - H A U L # 2

This is my second post like this now, whether it's on this blog or my other one, but I feel like with all the new launches happening I think I really need to make another. So many beauty bloggers and YouTubers now are promoting products left and right and I feel as while they're being honest and saying that perhaps they don't necessarily like the product they still find the justification to make their viewers buy it, which in turn keeps the company happy and keep sending them products. So are they being reliable? You decide. I check Trendmood1 Instagram page on the daily to see what's new as they post constantly what beauty companies leak on their Snapchat and their Instagram and even repost people's swatches of products. Personally, I prefer this rather than following a lot of different accounts. I don't follow Trendmood1 as they post way too often, however, I usually just check throughout the day. Now, I am only going to talk about products from brands...

This month I feel as though I haven't bought that much makeup, but I actually have. Oh gosh, darn it. I always blame Youtube for this happening as if I never watched Youtube I would never know what new products are out, and never feel the need to buy things the moment they come out. it's turned me into a makeup addict, and I cannot lie, I love it. This month has been all about Urban Decay. They have come out with a bunch of new products over the past two months and it got my makeup senses tingling. I had to just re-purchase the Naked Concealer because I used my old one all up. Before I knew it it was done with and I didn't even know how to do my face without it, and that's when I knew, that I couldn't be without this product. I use this in the shade Fair Neutral which is too light for me however I use it to highlight the under-eye and my t-zone as there is where I naturally highlight and most of the time get blemishes and this is the best pigment, and lasti...

Accidental Beauty Haul. (Cult Beauty + Nordstrom)

It feels like I have been nothing but buying make up recently and I have decided that after this I am going to take a step back I get my hands on the Urban Decay Moondust Pallete! Anyway this is just a blog post about the few things I have picked up over month ago. First I want to get the morning one out of the way (something that isn't make up I consider boring sorry!) and those are the Skyn Blemish dots. I have been wanting to try something like these because during that fabulous time of the month spots pop up over night it seems. What these are are stickers essentially and they are coated with salicystic acid which help to reduce redness and the swelling of the spot. I use these after I cleanse my face at night, and let them work until I wake up. They do work in the terms of reducing the redness and maybe the slight appearance and texture of the swelling but it doesn't help get rid of the spot.  Now onto the three Jouer Cosmetics items that I got. I got the fr...
