A Little Something Extra

I know this post is coming a little late, however, although I do have things in my collection I still need to review, I wanted to take a break from the review and haul posts for a while. I hope that my favourites will have a little more variety than other peoples posts, but we shall see. I will try and go in order of how I would apply my face. Primer: This is something new that came to me at the end of the year but I can already tell its a firm favourite. I was always using the Becca Backlight Priming Filter which I still love however it wasn't doing anything to smooth texture and minimise pores, so I decided to try out a Jeffree Star recommendation, the Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer . This really smooths out my skin and creates a perfect canvas for my foundation. This is, however, a little mattifying, so it makes dewy foundations look more like a velvet finish. So, I went to Paris, France. It's always been one of the places on my bucket list where I've wanted to visit. All the bread, all the cheese and all the Art. I would say wine but I am not the big drinker. Whilst I was over the new Urban Decay Naked Heat palette launched, and I was planning on getting it when I was back home.However, when the day came for e to actually step into a Sephora so I could swatch it myself, I decided just to pick it up. I didn't even swatch it in the store because it was so busy there, but now I will always have a palette that will remind me of that trip.  Let's talk about the packaging. It's very comparable to the Naked Smokey which has the very rectangle plastic with design effects, as opposed to the first where it has velvet packaging and the second and third has the tin sort of packaging. So as I am writing this post, I officially have 9 days until I am going to Paris! To some people it might not sound like a big deal, however, I have been wanting to go to Paris forever since I love art so much, plus the fact I haven't really been anywhere outside the country in 3 years. I am so excited I cannot even explain. Most people when they go on holiday wonder about which kind of clothes and shoes they will take, but I have been wondering ever since the trip has been booked is what makeup I should take. I am very much hoping that it will be much sunnier in Paris compared to Wales when we go, so I bought a foundation from a brand that I've always wanted to try. I got the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Full Coverage CC Cream in the shade Fair. I am subscribed to Lilly Pebbles on Youtube and her friend Anna from the channel The Anna Edit, and they talked about this foundation a lot. It also contains spf50 so it's going to be great if the sun decides to come out....

This rather large haul was acquired over a couple of months and I didn't buy it all in one go (I only wish I was that crazy). I'll start with the black box that's quite blurry in the left bottom corner, sorry about that. That is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation in the colour N2. I have seen Desi Perkins on YouTube rave about this foundation as being hydrating yet full coverage and I wanted to go back to liquid foundations for a while now so I want to give it a go. I have tried it a handful of times and so far I like it, although it's not the longest wearing. Debenhams in the Uk is getting better when it comes to makeup these days. They have a better range of Too Faced, Kat Von D but they also not have Buxom which I am very happy about. This is my second post like this now, whether it's on this blog or my other one, but I feel like with all the new launches happening I think I really need to make another. So many beauty bloggers and YouTubers now are promoting products left and right and I feel as while they're being honest and saying that perhaps they don't necessarily like the product they still find the justification to make their viewers buy it, which in turn keeps the company happy and keep sending them products. So are they being reliable? You decide. I check Trendmood1 Instagram page on the daily to see what's new as they post constantly what beauty companies leak on their Snapchat and their Instagram and even repost people's swatches of products. Personally, I prefer this rather than following a lot of different accounts. I don't follow Trendmood1 as they post way too often, however, I usually just check throughout the day. Probably one of Urban Decays biggest launches this year was their fall collection. It included their moon dust palette, eyeliners and then it shortly followed by what Urban Decays fans had been waiting for, the all matte (but not really) Ultimate Naked Basics Palette.  I have to say that the packaging is stunning. It is plastic however it looks more substantial than the other naked basics palette due to the colour and design. The colour selection is great, and even contains some colours that I don't consider basic. When you look back at the other two Naked Basics Palettes they have made, I would consider those basic. The browns and the lights yellow/peach shades. In this palette there are hints of colour. Something that wouldn't be considered a neutral, in my opinion, a couple of years ago would be the terracotta orange shade, then a dark burgundy colour. This month I feel as though I haven't bought that much makeup, but I actually have. Oh gosh, darn it. I always blame Youtube for this happening as if I never watched Youtube I would never know what new products are out, and never feel the need to buy things the moment they come out. it's turned me into a makeup addict, and I cannot lie, I love it. This month has been all about Urban Decay. They have come out with a bunch of new products over the past two months and it got my makeup senses tingling. I had to just re-purchase the Naked Concealer because I used my old one all up. Before I knew it it was done with and I didn't even know how to do my face without it, and that's when I knew, that I couldn't be without this product.
