Kat Von D Alchemist Palette Review.

Image
After months of waiting, I finally have this in my hands. I have been wanting the Kat Von D Alchemist Palette ever since I saw her very first sketches on her Instagram. It has been available in the US since before Christmas and it finally became available in the Uk on the 2nd of May. I had it marked on my calendar but I completely forgot until the 3rd and it was already sold out. A couple of weeks later, however, it became back in stock and I bought it straight away, along with two of her new everlasting liquid lipstick shades, Ophelia and Ludwig.  It states on the Debenhams website that she has been working on the formula for years. From what I can tell this is unlike anything that I know. They are nothing like an ordinary highlight. The shades have a transparent base, however, when the light shines at the swatches the pigmented pearl-like sheen, shows off the colour. This is why it's perfect for your eyes, face and lips as it doesn't apply straight up colou...

Collective Beauty Haul

Image
During January there were a lot of beauty launches, and I feel as though when things get announced the Us markets will be able to sell it within a month if not 3 weeks. For myself I would have to make a Sephora order and pay up to £30 in shipping and taxes to get my hands on newly released gems, and I have done so a few times, however this year I am inclined to wait, if I know a 100% that they will be bringing them to the Uk. So this is a collective haul that I have bought from various websites, that include, Asos, Beautybay and Debenhams. The first product that I the most excited to start using is the TooFaced x Kat Von D Better Together Palette. This was only launched in the Uk on the 14th of February when it was released in the US before the holiday season. My main motivation for purchasing this is because I haven't seen two companies come together in friendship like this to make a range of products. I love my Kat Von D palette, and I also love my TooFaced Palette s...

Accidental Beauty Haul. (Cult Beauty + Nordstrom)

Image
It feels like I have been nothing but buying make up recently and I have decided that after this I am going to take a step back I get my hands on the Urban Decay Moondust Pallete! Anyway this is just a blog post about the few things I have picked up over month ago. First I want to get the morning one out of the way (something that isn't make up I consider boring sorry!) and those are the Skyn Blemish dots. I have been wanting to try something like these because during that fabulous time of the month spots pop up over night it seems. What these are are stickers essentially and they are coated with salicystic acid which help to reduce redness and the swelling of the spot. I use these after I cleanse my face at night, and let them work until I wake up. They do work in the terms of reducing the redness and maybe the slight appearance and texture of the swelling but it doesn't help get rid of the spot.  Now onto the three Jouer Cosmetics items that I got. I got the fr...

My Love for the Jaclyn Hill x Becca Collection

Image
So Something That wasn’t really meant to happen was that I made another Sephora order. I have never made more than two orders in one month however when something LiMITED EDITION comes out you guys know I have to get on the band wagon. The main reason why I made my second Sephora order was because Becca came out with the split pan highlight and blush compact.  This makes me sound that I am obsess with with Jaclyn Hill as I have been hunting for everything that she has done wth Becca. I just have ti say I do watch Jaclyn and I do like her videos however her videos don’t really look like anything different from a lot of other beauty “gurus” on youtube. I do however like what she and becca have created together. I do own Beccas original highlighter in the shade moonstone and I love it. What made me invest in Champagne pop was partially the fact that there was ALOT of hype about it within the beauty community but also, I was on the hunt for a peach highlight. I own one of the N...

The Highstreet Palette that the Americans Are Going Nuts Over?

Image
Recently this palette has been getting a lot of attention from the big names in the Beauty community on Youtube, especially the Americans. I believe it was first mentioned by Jaclyn Hill on her snapchat which is when Jeffree Star started to mention it in his videos and then Manny Mua followed short.  These are pretty big names with collectively millions of subscribers so when something as affordable as this gets attention enough for them to ship from the Uk to America, people take notice! In the Uk the price point is at £9.99 at Boots stores which is affordable for 4 shades of highlight. The palettes that are currently available are Precious Metals which include 3 creams and 1 Powder, and then The Solstice which includes 3 powders and 1 cream. I havent really owned a highstreet highlighter before as I find that when they are swatched in the shops they are very dry and glittery. Out of these two I would have to go with the ever popular Solstice palette. I pers...

Beauty Haul Pt 2

Image
So, here comes part two of my huge beauty haul. Starting off with my order from Selfridges. This was the first order that I had made with the company and I have to say it came super quick and neatly packaged, I would really recommend shopping with them for high end make up. The first thing I popped into my basket was something that I saw all over social media, especially Instagram. This is the Jorgobé Peel Off Mask. I have large pores so I get blackheads easily and masks don't usually draw out all the dirt thats stuck in them so I opted to try this mask. I have used it a couple of times and I am in love, its a black mask with tea extracts that pulls out all the dirt. When the mask is dry you can feel all the bumps of dirt under the mask which is pretty cool. I use this in conjunction with other mask during the week and I have noticed a reduction in black heads especially around my nose area. The other items I got were the Clarins Lip Perfector which I apply under liqu...

American Beauty Haul

You might have seen in a previous blog post that I had made a Shop and Box order, and after my final payment it came within two days. Yes, no joke two days. I received my order in two separate boxes just so that the shipping costs wouldn't be as much. Personally I wouldn't make another shop and box order just because I think I got what I wanted from the States for a while. The first item I put on my wishlist was the Lorac Pro Palette. I am going to make a separate blog post all about this palette and my opinion on it. I will however touch on the primer quickly. I think that it rivals the urban decay primer that it has a tint of colour and although the urban decay primer is a little more silky, the loran primer is a little sticky. Some people won't like this however I think that its great for shadows that have glitter chunks and even if you want to build intensity of a lid shade without spraying a little fix plus into the mix. I cannot comment on longevity, but I ha...

Things I'm Loving Right Now

Image
I can never commit to doing monthly favorite posts so I have decided to do these types of posts. I wear make up almost every single day and what I use doesn't really change up that much. i always tend to get stuck in a rut using the same products in different ways. I was using NARS When God Created Woman Palette for ages and I was even using the eyeshadows in there for my eye brows. So yeah, I have so much make up but I really cannot be arsed going through my collection and changing it up. Over the past week or so however I forced myself to go through everything and picked stuff out to force myself to use them. The Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette is something I picked up on the day of my graduation, and I haven't really used it. It was sitting on my vanity eyeballing me to use it so I put it in my make up bag and I have been using it nearly daily now. I don't really go all out on the smokey eye aspect of it, but despite this you can really create subtle pretty eye...
