Accidental Beauty Haul. (Cult Beauty + Nordstrom)

It feels like I have been nothing but buying make up recently and I have decided that after this I am going to take a step back I get my hands on the Urban Decay Moondust Pallete! Anyway this is just a blog post about the few things I have picked up over month ago.

First I want to get the morning one out of the way (something that isn't make up I consider boring sorry!) and those are the Skyn Blemish dots. I have been wanting to try something like these because during that fabulous time of the month spots pop up over night it seems. What these are are stickers essentially and they are coated with salicystic acid which help to reduce redness and the swelling of the spot. I use these after I cleanse my face at night, and let them work until I wake up. They do work in the terms of reducing the redness and maybe the slight appearance and texture of the swelling but it doesn't help get rid of the spot.

Now onto the three Jouer Cosmetics items that I got. I got the from Cult bought because I don't really know any other Uk based retailers that stock them. I already own one of their liquid lipsticks and I really love it so I thought I would invest in more colours. I got two from their limited edition mermaid collection. This has been on the site for a while now so I don't think that it was super popular however I really liked the colours. I got a very bright red which is in the shade Watermelon which is a bright warm toned red which surprisingly made me want to wear red more often. I also got an unusual shade in the colour Daquri. This is a red/orange metallic shade. Yes I said metallic. Metallic lipsticks are making a come back people and I thought I'd try it out. To  be honest this looks very cool on the lips and its defiantly a statement lip. I would wear this with matte lids and matte skin and have this as the only shine on the face. Now onto the lip topper in Skinny Dip. This is something that you add on top of liquid lipstick to make them shiny / glittery / metallic. You can also wear this on its own because it contains hydrating coconut oil. I love this and I've had so many compliments wearing it. It's basically champagne pop highlight for your lips, awesome.

Something I got for the face was the Hourglass Vanishing Stick Foundation. I have however gotten it in a shade that is wayyyy too light for me. Just coming out of summer I can't get away with wearing it however, I am currently using it as an under eye highlight and a general highlight that I can use to contour the face. I am very interested in purchasing my actual shade in this formula as it's very nice and it lasted a pretty long while. Even for someone such as myself who has very dry skin it didn't enhance any dryness and also didn't make my face look flat at all. Highly recommend.

I finally did it and got the Becca luminous blush in Foxglove. For a while I was using a Make Up Geek Eyeshadow as a purple toned blush but now I have this I don't need that anymore. This is a gorgeous colour thats bright and pigmented. I have to say that it doesn't really give a sheen to the skin when applied, however I really like that as the last thing you want is a shiny block of colour on your cheeks. You have to use a very light hand with this however its an amazing colour and formula, and I want to get more shades.

The last product I got was one of the new Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips lipsticks and I got the shade K.W. which was made for Kim Kardashian to be her perfect nude. I have to say that my guilty pleasure is being a fan of the Kardashian Clan and I'm not mad at it. This is a pale pinky nude on me and I think if it was any lighter I would no way in hell be able to pull this off however, thankfully I can pull this off. I can see this becoming my staple nude when it comes to paring it with a bold smokey eye. Next night out, you just watch, i'll be wearing this bad gal.

Well thats it for a couple of things I picked up recently, and let me if theres anything else I should be checking out. If you have additional questions regarding these products please comment, I'd be happy to communicate with you. Again, hope you enjoyed my post!

Many Thanks x
