American Beauty Haul

Image
You might have seen in a previous blog post that I had made a Shop and Box order, and after my final payment it came within two days. Yes, no joke two days. I received my order in two separate boxes just so that the shipping costs wouldn't be as much. Personally I wouldn't make another shop and box order just because I think I got what I wanted from the States for a while. The first item I put on my wishlist was the Lorac Pro Palette. I am going to make a separate blog post all about this palette and my opinion on it. I will however touch on the primer quickly. I think that it rivals the urban decay primer that it has a tint of colour and although the urban decay primer is a little more silky, the loran primer is a little sticky. Some people won't like this however I think that its great for shadows that have glitter chunks and even if you want to build intensity of a lid shade without spraying a little fix plus into the mix. I cannot comment on longevity, but I ha

Things I'm Loving Right Now

Image
I can never commit to doing monthly favorite posts so I have decided to do these types of posts. I wear make up almost every single day and what I use doesn't really change up that much. i always tend to get stuck in a rut using the same products in different ways. I was using NARS When God Created Woman Palette for ages and I was even using the eyeshadows in there for my eye brows. So yeah, I have so much make up but I really cannot be arsed going through my collection and changing it up. Over the past week or so however I forced myself to go through everything and picked stuff out to force myself to use them. The Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette is something I picked up on the day of my graduation, and I haven't really used it. It was sitting on my vanity eyeballing me to use it so I put it in my make up bag and I have been using it nearly daily now. I don't really go all out on the smokey eye aspect of it, but despite this you can really create subtle pretty eye

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit

Image
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit is the first ever product that I've bought from this brand. I have been contemplating getting the blushes from Hourglass for a while as they are so beautiful and they give more of a glow rather than colour pigment, and for a person who doesn't really wear a lot of blush this was perfect for me. This is small. When you watch all the videos on youtube it looks a little bigger than it does in real life and I think thats a downside for a lot of people who bout this. For me I didn't mind as much as all I want to do is try a couple of things from the brand, and here you get to try three shades of the ambient lighting powders, two ambient lighting blushes and one ambient lighting bronzer. I am considering getting the more yellow shade in Diffused Light as I can see that would be a colour that I would use more in the palette. I am also considering getting another blush from the range but a more peachy one. All in all if you feel like you

Products I Really Want To Try.

After my shameless haul of American Products I am on a no buying month, however doesn't mean I don't have my eye on a few thing I want to try. Cover Fx Custom Cover Drops. I purchased the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation at the end of August last year (wow that sounds so weird), and I have just been using it overtime I wear my make up. Its so good! I used to be obsessed with Estee Lauder Double Wear however I found it to be clogging up my pores when I wore it every single day and this is a lighter consistency, but the coverage is comparable. Moving on, I have just been wearing it and been in denial that I should probably purchase another shade, but I feel even the lighter shade would even be a little too beige for me. I have heard great things about the Cover Fx Drops so I thought that if I purchased the lightest shade and perhaps a shade that would be my summer colour, it wouldn't matter what foundation I would buy I could always make my own perfect shade. If I am s

Make Up Geek Shadows

Image
Make Up Geek Shadows have made their way to the Uk. Watching the American beauty gurus go on about their make up geek shadows in their Z Palettes made me really jealous. Before, the only way you can get a personalized palette here was to go to MAC. Personally, that system didn't appeal to me. The Mac counter that is closest to me is in Chester, which is over an hour away. Granted I could buy the pans and the palette online however when you look at the price comparison there is a big difference. Mac pan shadows are £10 each while the Make Up Geek shadows on the  Beauty Bay Website  are £4.95. From what Ive swatched of Mac shadows every time I've been at a counter, the Make Up Geek shadows do compare in quality. They even compare to Urban Decay shadows which are my fave. When I was looking at the colour selection, I wanted a few shades that I knew I would use. This is so even if they turned out to be not so good I could still use the colours. Luckily for me they

My Shop And Box Order

Image
Being in the Uk I lust over all of the amazing cosmetic brands in America, and other parts of the world. Why is everything that you want so hard to get? I follow a lot of make up inspiration accounts on Instagram and see all of these photos on Pinterest and I decided that I wanted to make a Shop and Box order.  Shop and Box is a website that connects you to several people from around the world that will be able to buy your items for you and ship it to your address. You pay invoice 1 which is the cost off all the items you want to buy, then there is invoice two which is the shoppers fee and the postage to yourself. Throughout the whole process you are able to message the boxer (the person who buys your items) and they can update you on when they went to get your products and so on and so forth. My experience took a little longer than expected as my boxer got involved in a car crash, however her and her son are now ok, so I still haven't received my items yet, however they have

The Balm Nude Tude Palette

Image
I have been wanting the palette for years. Not lusting for it per say but I have been umming and ahhing whether to get it or not, and I have bitten that bullet. I saw YT'er Estée Lalonde talk about this palette a few years ago, and she used it many times in a lot of videos so I thought it must be a good one to have several features. The packaging looks like this, and its really different to any other palette that I've seen around. It caught my eye because to the illustrations and the effort that was made into a simple palette. As a brand I know that The Balm use cheeky sexual puns in order to maybe catch peoples eye and as you can see the illustrations in this palette is no different. I don't really like the ouster packaging as it's quite old fashioned and doesn't really have a wow factor, and in all honesty its a little boring, but the inside of the palette makes up for it. The shadows in this palette are very pigmented and easy to blend, however the on
