Identity Design #2

Image
Ynys Llanddwyn simplified in photoshop. For the label of my Identity Design could either be digital or it could be hand drawn but what will be the best option??  I feel really glad that I have finally gotten the hand of producing something digital in the past three years. Who would have thought that I would have actually learned anything during my time here! However I feel as if it is too similar to all the other tea boxes out there... Is this a good thing? To know that this actually works within the branding and packaging of teas or would it be better if it was something really new? I still haven't decided yet, still thinking that I am glad to be able to show that I can produce digital work if I want, but most of the time I simply don't want to as Im pressured to do so.

Brush Cleaning.

Brush Cleaning Routine. Every month I give my brushes a real deep clean. Brushes breed bacteria, it may not look like it but they do. On a clean brush you put make up on the brush and put it onto your freshly washed face. However you may have a blemish   or possibly any enlarge pores that might get bacteria on your brush. And there you leave it out until the next day. Depending on how you store your brushes, any heat or possibly a damp area could speed up the process of bacteria. I bet after reading that you don't want to put a dirty brush on your  face! However don't worry there is a solution. I spot clean the brushes that I use on the everyday, weekly with a cleansing wipe. This is a really good technique if you do get a build up of product quickly or if you have gone a bit too dark with the eyeshadow and need a clean brush asap. However you can't do this on a daily. One it would be a terrible waste of wipes, two you would dry out the bristles of your brushes

November Favorites.

A little collection of a few staples in my daily make up routine. Being devoted to my Nars blush palette for over a year now I decided that I would venture out and try different things. I already have a Sleek Blush in Rose Gold however I wanted something a little peachy. And thats exactly what I got, this is the Sleek Blush in Life's A Peach. The colour might look a little radioactive, however on the cheeks its stunning. It just gives a warm flush of colour that isn't too much. It is a matte finish so its quite subtle, but you can also build it up if you want to. I'd say don't be discouraged about this colour, give it a swatch and have a go for yourself. Something that I have been loving to put under my foundation recently is this Garnier BB Cream + Blur in the shade Light . You can use this on its own however I really like using it as a primer as it colour corrects my skin and also leaves it moisturized. The coverage that it gives on its own is also pre

At the moment my favorite module that I have this year is Identity Design. Even though in my Design Research Module I could have done whatever I wanted, but somehow I prefer this one as it has more of a structure to it. In this brief I have to come up with my own brand of soft drink. I have chosen tea because I am an addict. I have tea in the morning, in my lectures, when I get back from uni, before tea, after tea, anyway you get the gist. So i thought creating tea would be the perfect fit. I was right. Although there is a brand called "Welsh Brew" already out there which translates to "Paned Cymreig" in welsh, I have decided that I would call it "Paned" which is plain and simple. I had to spray paint the jar tops to make them gold as they are supposed to be preserving jars. So the main theme of my design is gold. In reference to the welsh gold. Hopefully I will deicide on the final design soon enough and I will keep you updated.

LimeCrime.

LimeCrime Velvetines Dried. Velvetines Swatched. Lime Crime is a cruelty free Vegan product that I am in love with. Not only that they are vegan they are also amazing quality! I do not have much in my collection however I believe that I have enough to declare my love for this brand! As you can see I own the Venus Grunge Palette and also 3 Velvetines. I shall firstly talk about the Velvetines. These are liquid lipsick/ lip stain. They go on as a gloss however dry to a matte finish. They are quite watery to put on so I suggest first lining the lips to make sure that you create your desired lip shape because if you make a mistake it will be quite hard to remove. However if you are looking for rich, pigmented and SUPER long wearing these are the hippies you should go for. I have Pink, Red and Wicked Velvetine and hoping they bring out more wearable shades for non-crazy lip wearing girls like me. The other LimeCrime product that I have is their Venus Grunge Palette which

DUPE ALERT!!! Velvet Teddy Vs Nude Perfection

Velvet Teddy on the right, Nude Perfection on the left. Everyone who is a beauty lover have always been on the search for dupes for the M.A.C lipsticks. They are a staple in everyones collection beauty lover or not, and they are at a higher price £15.50 here in the Uk, however would it be better if there was a high street alternative? I have been using the Maybelline Colour Drama Velvet Lip Pencil in Nude Perfection for a while now and I have been in love with it! I even considered buying it in bulk since I thought they wouldn't last long on the shelves and I was right, they have been flying. Looking at the photo you can see that mine is very well loved. Before this pencil I never wore any nude hippies because I believed that i was too pale and that brighter shades would look better however this is a whole new ball park for me, and I have to say that I'm ok with change.  Velvet Teddy has been said to be one of Kylie Jenner's favorite lipsticks to pull off her sig
