February Favorites
This February Favorites doesn't have any make up in, shocking right? When choosing out my favorites I always start looking for what make up favorites that I have been loving in comparison to last months however I didn't really have anything new, so I had to look outside of the make up box and think, what exactly have I been really loving?
The first thing I really have to mention is my new iPhone 6. I previously had the iPhone 4s which was in shocking condition, and the battery only lasted half an hour even from full charge. So I really needed an upgrade and I am really happy with it. Still need to sync all of my data on to it though. My case is a clear one however my skin is from Nuvango who can create skins for everything. I also have one on my MacBook Air which has been on it ever since I got it and still looks like new. I got the Blueberry pattern because I thought it looked so modern and I do enjoy the odd blueberry compost now and again.
Next favorite thing is jewelry. I have really been neglecting wearing necklaces recently and I thought I'd try and get back into it. Although I have always favored the really long necklaces, I have noticed that my tastes have changed. I bout these necklaces a couple of weeks back and I now can't stop wearing them and it has become a daily staple with any outfit of choice. I got the gold bar dainty necklace from H&M for £3.50 I think..... Anyways, it looks more expensive than it actually is and it just adds a little something. The other bolder necklace/chocker thing is from River Island. I have always been on the lookout for one of these however they are always pricey for something that is fake gold, however this was £8 so I didn't think that was bad. As you can see the balls at each end are different sizes and I thought that was a nice touch. I sometimes wear it as intended with the open area exposed at the front, and then sometimes I turn it all the way around so that the gold bar is shown making it seem as though it goes all the way around. I really like to wear it with a shirt as shown bellow.
My nails are finally in ok condition to wear nail polish again and after reading really good reviews about the Barry M Speedy Dry nail polish I decided to give them a try. I really like these!! I will be really surprised if these isn't in most monthly favorites this Feb. I have the shades Lap of Humor, which I think of as a grown up lilac, and Pit Stop which is a nice beige grey. They also have names linked to racing and cars which I think is a nice touch. Anyway, these do dry really fast, and I am so impressed with the quantity of these and for £3.99 you can't go wrong! The only thing I will say is that they do not give a very glossy finish like the Gelly Polishes that Barry M also make, however I think any High-Shine top coat, such as Seche Vite, would fix that.
The last thing I have to mention this month is the Effaclar Duo (+) by Ls Roche Posay. I was looking for a moisturizer to use that would not only moisturize but to also treat my pores, it also doubles up as a primer. I have notices that my pores are getting bigger, so I did some research and apparently this stuff is really good, so I gave it a try. I do like it as it makes my skin really smooth, and knowing that its treating my skin at the same time really is a plus. I haven't had and major break outs either since using it so I think it deserves a job well done.
