Spring Haul / Review

After payday I thought I would go on a well deserved shopping spree, as with all the uni work I haven't been on one in ages! So I thought I would share my spoils on the blog. I have tried most of these products out because I'm so bad at waiting but atlas now it can turn into a Haul/ Review Post.
I'll start off with some bits that I picked up from Primark. I don't normally go into Primark as the one in Chester is always busy rain or shine and I just get overwhelmed, however when I popped in with my mate the other day it wasn't too bad. So I got a few basic bits. The first item is the grey t-shirt. It isn't just an ordinary cotton t-shirt, its a little more structured, kind of like a boxed t-shirt but not so boxy, if that makes any sense to some of you ha! But I love wearing this with black leggings as it goes further down covering the entire torso and makes a downtime outfit look a little 'more'. I also bought my first pair of jeans from there and I got the Ultra Soft Skinny kind and I really like them, that are not the high waisted ind but they go over my hips nicely and are a snug fit, with a grey wash pattern on them, deffo a spring item for me.
The next things I got were the metallic tattoos, now I had a really good vision in my head when buying these. I thought they would look really nice as an ankle detail in the spring/summer months, which I'm still intending on doing if they have some still in stock. My other idea would be to do an accent nail with, which I have and they look so cool. (expect a post). They look a little different to the everyday nail for sure. I also want to use them in some of my art work, which is something I often do with transfer tattoos.

In Superdug I got the Solait Selt Tan Buffing Mitt. I have been wanting to tan up for  a while but I always get really bad tan blotches on my ankles and my wrists so I thought maybe this would help. I haven't tried it yet but it feels so soft and gentle, so I'm exited to try it out.
For the night time I got the Nivea Regenerating Night Cream for Dry and Sensitive skin. When washing my face at the end of the day my skin feels so tight and dry that when I wake up I get flaky skin, pretty right. I bought this as it is a richer night cream and thought it would give me a boost of moisture. Since hitting my 20's my skin is becoming dry/ combination. Dry all around the face and oily in the t-zone which is where I normally get blemishes. I thought this may be because I don't use the right moisturizer. I have used this past couple of nights, and I have to say It might be working. I no longer wake up with dry flakes on the skin and I feel as though my underlies don't look as puffy now. So I have to say that I like this product so far.
I received some vouchers from the University for looking after the gallery so I got some Mac. I had a little list of what I wanted to swatch in store first. I knew that the one thing I really wanted was the pigment in Tan which I first fell in love with when I saw my favorite make up artist Linda Hallberg wearing it in a recent post and I instantly needed it and got it that day. When I wear it I just want bigger eyes so I can put more on, its gorgeous. The blush I got is called Blushbaby and its something I haven't really seen around in the blog/ Youtube world so when I swatched it in the mac store I was really surprised about how much I liked it because I'm not that big on blusher and could go happily without. This is a very warm toned, almost plumy but its not , peachy blush that has a matte finish. I can already tell it will become one of my staple blushes.

I also went to Boots which at the moment have their great 3 for 2 deal on cosmetics, this is always the best time to get make up. I have been wearing the Estee Lauder Double Wear throughout winter and it is great, however now approaching spring summer I find that its getting too heavy. So I remembered last year when I tried the Bourjois Gel Serum foundation. I loved it but never bought again, because I moved on to another foundation that I was also testing out. I bought it again and I remember why I loved it so much, great coverage, decent lasting power and it does smell quite nice. One pump of this covers my whole face and gives a medium coverage, however you can build it up to a full coverage. I also needed to get a new concealer for under the eyes as my trusty Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer has ran out, and I never finish make up products. So I got the Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer, which I haven't heard about but I thought I would give it a try, and I really like it. Its a yellow based concealer that brightens the dark circles and doesn't crease, its also so lightweight. Also from Bourjois I got the new Rouge Edition Velvet Aqua Laque in 01 Appechissant. I love this product, it goes on so smooth and has the feeling of water, and feels so moisturizing. When it wears off it leaves a subtle stain which is something that I really like. It isnt as pigmented as the original Rouge Edition Velvets however if you want something thats easy to throw in your bag that gives a glossy finish these are for you.

Something else that caught my eye was The Original Source Moisturizing Oil Spray. I am so lazy when it comes to moisturizer, mainly because my hands get slippy and when I put clothes on it feels like I've just been in a sweaty sauna. So when I saw it was quick drying I thought I would give it a go. I have to say that its is quick drying and it doesn't spray out cold which is what I hated with the Vaseline spray moisturizers, I know its a small thing but in the Uk its still cold, and after a hot shower thats that last thing that I wanted. So, yep this is a really good product if you don't mind the very sweet watermelon scent.

I then went to The Body Shop for an initial browse, but of course I got something. I needed a new body scrub because that day I really wanted to tan, so I picked up the Mango Sugar Body Scrub which smells like fresh mango juice, I understand why they have a no eat icon on the packaging. I then spotted the  Moisture Boost Socks, this is something I haven't done in a while and my poor feet know it. I haven't tried these yet, but tonight is the night.
