Make Up Forever Starlit Palette. Review & Swatches.

I have never tried Make Up Forever products and I found myself really keen on trying out this palette. I first saw this palette on the Trendmood Instagram page, and when you first look at it, it does look a lot like the Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette. Whilst looking through the comments I wasn't the only one who thought this, and I was very interested in purchasing as I was intrigued to see how they compare.

I bought mine off the Debenhams website whilst it became on sale for a limited 24hrs, and even better was that the site had 15% off Beauty so I got the palette for £34 instead of the £40. I bought this completely based on my own opinion because there weren't any youtube reviews on it, and no blog posts either so I had no idea about the quality.

When I got the palette I didn't really have any thoughts on the packaging. I thought the holographic aspect was really nice, but that was it. The mirror as far as I can tell is just a standard mirror, it's clear however doesn't have a weight on it, so its a good option to take if you want to go travelling.

On the inside, you have 6 matte shades and 12 metallic and shimmer shades. The mattes I am impressed with apart from the black. The black is a little stiffer and a little less pigmented than the other black eyeshadows that I have in my collection. I don't really use black other than to add definition or as a small shadow wing so for my personal use its fine. The metallic shades are by far my favourite from the palette, in particular, the shade Moon which looks almost duo-chrome so I love this all over the lid.

I am shocked however that I wasn't really blown away by it. I wasn't swatching the shades and thinking omg. For me, it's a nice palette, but it's one I'll use every day and not worry about getting dirty. It's a neutral palette that doesn't inspire me whatsoever.

shimmer and metallics.

I would recommend this palette to someone who doesn't really love eyeshadow, but still wants something on the lids. As far as this comparing to the Kat Von D palette, I like KVD better.
As stated this was released for a limited time for 24hrs and a Uk Exclusive, which is nice since we don't really get any of those. I do believe however that it will launch again at the end of February, so if you're still interested you can grab it then.

Tell me what do you think of the palette if you've tried it. What would you like to see on my blog? I want to do something apart from reviews, but I keep constantly buying things from the New Ins so let me know! Hope you enjoyed this post.

Many Thanks x
