Things I'm Loving Right Now

I can never commit to doing monthly favorite posts so I have decided to do these types of posts. I wear make up almost every single day and what I use doesn't really change up that much. i always tend to get stuck in a rut using the same products in different ways. I was using NARS When God Created Woman Palette for ages and I was even using the eyeshadows in there for my eye brows. So yeah, I have so much make up but I really cannot be arsed going through my collection and changing it up. Over the past week or so however I forced myself to go through everything and picked stuff out to force myself to use them.

The Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette is something I picked up on the day of my graduation, and I haven't really used it. It was sitting on my vanity eyeballing me to use it so I put it in my make up bag and I have been using it nearly daily now. I don't really go all out on the smokey eye aspect of it, but despite this you can really create subtle pretty eye looks with this. The colours that I really love in the palette are Dirty sweet the second shade on the left for an all over golden shimmer shadow, and I even use the shade Whiskey, with I personally think is a more neutral brown rather than a warm toned brown, in my brows when I want a more natural look.

Something that I ordered about a month ago and I have seen a great improvement in my skin. I have been seeing beauty gurus online talk about the Clarisonic however its so expensive for something that  washes your face. Then I saw Shaaanxo talk about this on her channel, it was probably sponsored, however it looks basically the same and I liked the fact its comes with a silicone head. This set is called The Ultimate Skin Spa System and it really does feel amazing. I thought ah well face brushes whatever, nothing a good face scrub or a scrubbing glove can't do, but I love this! The silicone is what I use on the daily for my face in conjunction to using my Epiderm Cream which is an over the counter cleanser for sensitive dry skin. I use the grey head for my chest and shoulders where I suffer from break outs, and I use this in conjunction to the Mario Badescu AHA Botanical Body Soap, and I don't know if its the brush or the soap or just both together but I have seen an amazing improvement in my skin over the course of this month. I don't really use the grey head as as you can see in the photo, I used it just the once with my cleansing cream and the formula of it must have been too think as the bristles are now kind of stuck together and it doesn't matter how may times I've popped it under hot water, it still dries the same.

I have the Mac Highlighter in Soft and Gentle in this post because I have just been loving highlighters in general this month and I can't go a day with out a little glow.

I have three brushes that i have been loving this month and I can't complete an eye look without reaching for these bad boys. The Mac 242 is a classic brush for packing on the colour. When I went out during the festive season and wanted a bit of glitter I would use this brush sprayed with Mac Fix + to layer the glitter onto of other eyeshadows. Next is one of the Real Techniques Bold Metal Brushes in 201 Pointed Crease brush. This is great for blending all the colours in the crease plus on the lower lash line. Its a little too fat for me to put colour in the crease however for blending its amazing. Last but not least the Anastasia Beverly Hills no.12 Large Synthetic Duo Brow Brush. I got this to use with my brow parade however when I saw how slanted and how thin the brush was I decided to use it for brow powder and I haven't looked back since. I even use if for eyeliner and it kills it.

Last on the list are my Make Up Geek Shadows. I have been loving these shades and I have been using one to two shades of these everyday. I particularly been loving the shade petal pusher in the crease and the shade peach smoothy to add a little more warmth to a more neutral eye.

So, those are the products that I have been loving for the past month and a half. I will be trying to change up the variety game soon. Make up doesn't last forever so I need to use what I have and have good times wearing them. Hope you enjoyed the blog post.

Many Thanks x
