Recent Beauty Buys Pt 1

I know I have been inactive on here for the past couple of weeks but what can I say, I am not a consistent kind of person. I really wish I could be as my whole life would then be in order but thats not who I am I guess. This blog post will be part one of my recent beauty buys, because being inactive on your blog makes all the things you’ve bought, and when to talk about, build up. There is over a months worth of spending here so I’ll just get on with it.

Firstly I’ll talk about my order from BeautyBay. This site is by far one of my favorite sites that I like to shop beauty as they have a lot of indie brands that you won’t find on other sites that ship to the Uk or Uk based. One of the Indie brands that have a lot of hype about her in the Us is Dose of Colours so when I saw that they stocked the brand I knew I wanted to try a couple of things, in particular their liquid lipsticks. They have stocked them for a while however have only had out-there colours that I knew if I wanted to invest I didn’t want to get colours I would never wear. The two lipsticks that I got were Bare With Me which is a light peachy nude and Brick which is a red toned dark brown. At first I thought the colour Bare with me was a little too light for me but this was because I’ve never really been into wearing nude colours, however now that its spring I am really enjoying them so I am glad I have added this to my collection. I have tried Brick but I haven’t wore it out yet as I don’t really go anywhere. I do think however its more of an Autumn / Winter colour so I am sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it then. The last thing from Dose of Colours was one of their Eyedeal Duos in Shell. I think his is so clever where you have a primer in the top and then the loose glitter pigment at the bottom. The colour Shell is a peachy light gold I would say and its beautiful. I got this shade as I think it can be worn day and night which makes it very versatile and worth the money. Ive worn it a couple of times and the sticky primer really does hold onto the pigment making it last hours on the lid. All in all its a great product and I am really interested in getting a couple of other shades. Something for the brows now is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in the side Ash Brown. I have tried a lot of brow products from the ABH range however I am currently going through a powder faze. My natural hair colour is ash brown, however its currently dyed darker, however I do really like the natural look powder gives to my brows. I have started growing them out so they are a lot bigger these days compared to when I started filling my brows in. The only issue I have is that the lighter and the darker colours look really similar so you don’t get the obvious ombre brow look, which I sort of like, however with a little more time you can build it up.The last thing I got was the beauty blender micro minis, which I’ve wanted to try ever since they were released. I have to say these are really small and if you already have the beauty blender and have a small face you don’t need these. I find that when you get them wet, no matter how many times you squeeze them they still feel a little too wet. i have used them to conceal under my eyes, blemishes and with liquid highlighter, all of which the original beauty blender can do. I am intrigued about the new beauty blender for blush though as maybe that would be a better investment.

A new site that I ordered from was Beautylish and I ordered from here to get one particular product, Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny. After seeing this all over Instagram I knew I had to get it. On myself its a very dark dusty dark pink shade, its similar to Kat Von D Lolita (which I also have) but then again its not. I haven’t had the chance to wear it out yet however I think its a great hippie to wear for a night out and even drumming the day time in the Autumn / Winter. From what I’ve seen on Instagram many people can pull it off as a nice everyday lipstick however on me it looks dramatic so I am keeping it for special occasions for when I actually venture out the house. To get free shipping ( cmon we all know buy that something extra is better than paying £5 shipping right?) I also got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pen in dark. I remembered that I really liked the Soap and Glory Brow pen so I wanted to try this out. I don’t really like this unfortunately. Its a little on the warm side for me so I cannot use it on my eyebrows, I have however found another use for it. I actually use it for eye liner for more subtle looks when I don’t want to use black. The pen is small enough that it goes really close to the lash line. I don’t know if the product is eye safe, however I haven’t had any issues and it also lasts a really long time.

Now as this is a lot of reading i'll leave it here for now. Follow for Part Two

Many Thanks x
