Double Exposure. |
I have never bought any smash box products before so when I saw this on a big display in my local Boots I was like "yes please!" I was really intrigued about the fact that you can get the shadows wet to up the vibrancy of the shadows, and it won't create that film over the shadows making them unusable. It states on the packaging that "14 shadows turn to 28-just add water to up the vibrancy, transform it to metallic or amp up the sparkle".

In the Packaging you get a chart of all the shadow names and what happens to them when they are added with water, and you also get an eye chart to show you which 3 looks can be made for each individual eye shape.

Top: Dry & Bottom: Wet. |
The swatches of the top were applied using fingertips and then the bottom half was applied with the brush provided with the palette. As you can see in the top half of the image the shadows are pigmented however a little chalky, but they do blend really nicely. In the second half you can see that the intensity has increased in some and some have become metallic. The best transformation was the dark blue shade which is called Midnight. When dry it just looks like a satin finish however when added with water it becomes a deep sparkly navy which would be great on the lower lash line for a subtle statement eye, if there is such a thing. Looking forward to creating a lot of looks with this palette.
